April revenue hits $290.7M for iGaming and sports betting operators in Michigan

(Detroit).- Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined total of $290.7 million in gross receipts from internet gaming (iGaming) and internet sports betting for April. This reflects a 0.9% decrease compared to March.

Monthly Gross Receipts
iGaming gross receipts for April totaled $248.1 million, down from $260.5 million in March. Gross sports betting receipts were $42.6 million, up from $33.0 million recorded in the previous month.
Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts
Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for iGaming and internet sports betting reached $259.9 million in April. Of that total, $233.1 million came from iGaming, and $26.8 million came from internet sports betting. This marks a 5.3% decrease in iGaming AGR and a 83.4% increase in sports betting AGR compared to March. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 33.9%, while sports betting AGR declined 3.6% compared to April 2024.
Monthly Handle
The total internet sports betting handle was $417.6 million in April, a 12.1% decrease from the $475.1 million recorded in March.
Monthly State Taxes and Payments
Operators reported submitting $49.6 million in state taxes and payments in April, including:
- iGaming taxes and fees: $48.2 million
- Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $1.4 million
Monthly City of Detroit Taxes and Payments
Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $13.1 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit in April, including:
- iGaming taxes and fees: $12.6 million
- Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $504,986
Monthly Tribal Operator Payments
Tribal operators reported $5.6 million in payments made to their respective governing bodies in April.

As of April 2025, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to offer iGaming and/or internet sports betting in Michigan. Currently, 12 operators offer internet sports betting, and 15 offer iGaming. Individual operator results are published on the MGCB website.
